This article defends the doctrine of Chinese people-centered political thought. The basic tenet of my arguments is that the people-centered doctrine has objective and independent meaning and value. It’s not an addition to the traditional imperial system or a trivial part of political regimes such as modern democracy. On the contrary, without conforming to principles of the doctrine, the regimes, whether authoritarian or not, seldom can be good polities, and can hardly win the trust of the people. Even worse, the regimes cannot be sustained for too long.
