A great deal of ink has been used debating the so-called “three faces of power”.Is the “three faces of power” controversy in political theory like a family squabbleor  an  endless  dispute?  If  this  debate  can  be  located  within  one  position,  can  weformulate  an  alternative  position?  This  article  seeks  to  present  a  systematicinterpretation by  examining  the  contrasting  accounts  advanced  by  empiricism  andcritical realism. Analyzing the behavioral and structural nature of power will furtherthis investigation.
