Abstract / Chinese PDF Download

Although  reinventing  government  is  a  very  important  trend  of  globalization, organizational  changes  often  result  in  suspicions  and  resistance.  The  leaders  musthave  proper  visions  and  strategies  to  promote  the  national  development  andcompetitiveness.  This   paper  examines   the  government   reform  of   the   rulingDemocratic  Progressive  Party  in  Taiwan,  and  the  following  three  issues  arediscussed   deliberatively:   the   evolution   of   political   situations,   anti-corruptioncampaigns  and  organizational  reforms.  In  terms  of  innovation  and  execution,  theauthor argues that the DPP’s government reform contains plentiful innovations, butit has not been carried through yet. At last, I admire the DPP’s endeavors to countercorruptions and promote organizational reforms, and suggest that “from innovationto execution” should be the right strategy of getting things done.
