Theme of the Speech:
It has been colonial development or/and the post-War American influence as outside factors, and the Confucian culture, export-led industrialization and strong state as indigenous factors that explain the two development cases.
In order to answer the question, where did the strong will to national development come from? We go up the stream of history to find the origin of nationalist development, which ROC and ROK share.
